During your session, we create a beautiful blend of softly wrapped and gently posed images—focusing on those tiny toes, smooshed cheeks, and sleepy expressions you’ll never want to forget.
We also take time to document the connection within your growing family. From quiet snuggles with parents to gentle sibling moments, these images tell the full story of this new chapter. If siblings are joining, we’ll capture both together and individual portraits to celebrate their new role in the family.
Every session is guided with patience and intention. We follow your baby’s lead, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and settling as needed. Nothing is rushed—if your little one needs a bit more time, we take it to ensure everything feels calm and just right.

Newborn sessions are designed with patience, comfort, and intention. There is no rushing and no expectation for baby to be anything other than exactly who they are.
We allow up to 3 hours for your newborn experience, giving us plenty of time for feeding, changing, soothing, snuggling, and settling whenever needed. Baby leads the way, and we simply work around them.

Held in our cozy Hilton, NY studio, each session includes access to a thoughtfully curated collection of soft wraps, delicate headbands, props, textures, and styled sets to create a beautiful variety of images while keeping the focus exactly where it belongs — on your baby.
Newborns don't follow schedules, and we don't expect them to.
We take our time and allow your little one to set the pace, leaving plenty of room for feeding, changing, soothing, and snuggling along the way. There is never pressure to rush through these moments.
Throughout your session, we'll capture the sleepy poses and tiny details you'll never want to forget, along with the beautiful connections between baby and the people who already love them so deeply.

After your session, we carefully curate the strongest images from everything we created together. Each selected photograph is professionally edited and beautifully retouched in the signature style of Chrisom B. Photography.

When Should I Book My Newborn Session?
We recommend booking your newborn session during your second or early third trimester to ensure availability. Once your due date is on our calendar, we’ll stay flexible and adjust the session date as needed once the baby arrives.
Newborn sessions are ideally done within the first 7–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most easily posed for those snuggly, wrapped shots you’ll love. That said, every baby is different, and we’re happy to adjust if you need a little more time to settle in as a family.
The sooner you book, the better we can prepare to capture those fleeting early moments while they’re still tiny.
What to Bring to Your Newborn Session
We’ve got most of the essentials covered—our studio is fully stocked with wraps, props, headbands, blankets, and backdrops. But here are a few things you may want to bring along for a smooth and cozy session:
For Baby:

Diapers & Wipes – Bring extras just in case

Pacifier – Even if the baby doesn’t normally take one, it can help soothe between shots

Bottles or Breastfeeding Supplies – Feel free to feed as needed; we build time in for breaks

Special Outfit or Keepsake – Optional if you have something sentimental you'd like to include
For Parents & Siblings:
